Void Collection
Besides my professional career as a project lead and designer, my everlasting joy for light and colour has evolved into an ongoing series of photographic and looping video artworks.
The ‘Void Collection’ unfolds in shifting traces of light, scattered across darkness in fleeting wavelengths. Light reveals the tension between presence and absence — a rhythm of illumination dissolving into the void. Inspired by the 380–750 nm span of visible wavelengths, colourworks in white, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet are created. The collection expands into 111 variations of each colour, gradually appearing throughout 2025 and 2026.
Some of the artworks have already been revealed and can be explored via the Foundation platform.
PREVIOUS EXHIBITONS
Mihkel has previously exhibited photographs and light artworks (not part of the ‘Void Collection’) at various museums, art centers, and cultural events, including CHART Architecture (Kunsthal Charlottenborg), Kai Art Center, Den Frie, 3daysofdesign (Designmuseum Danmark), Copenhagen Photo Festival, Tallinn Music and Ballet School, Copenhagen Light Festival, and the Estonian National Museum.
